Constantin Engelmann & Till Bovermann
In the Panchronic Garden, visitors are immersed in a space with limited audiovisual stimuli. The slow changes (on a time scale of minutes to hours) in the sound and light environment are intended to evoke a perception of standstill or extreme deceleration. While the auditory and visual displays are focused on human senses and time perception, the sensory elements used to affect the soundscape and its visual counterpart are tuned to long time scales. The extended time scale of change in the plants will thus become tangible to visitors. For this panchronic session, the changes in the installation's audiovisual elements, which normally occur over a period of days or weeks, are condensed and dramatized to the duration of a performance.
Constantin Engelmann
Constantin Engelmann is an artist working in changing collaborations in the fields of stage, performance, experimental sound design and kinetic sculpture. His work is concerned with the distortion of sensory perception in time. He holds a diploma and masterstudentdegreein generative art from the UdK Berlin (Prof.Dr. Alberto de Campo). He has shown his works and performances at Hebbel am Ufer Theater Berlin, Walcheturm ZurichandCCA Ujazdowski Castle Warsaw, among others.
